After the tragedies of Parkland High School in Florida and Santa Fe High School in Texas, School safety became the Governor’s top priority for this past legislative session.  Comprehensive school safety measures were passed to keep Texas School children safe.

Our President, Jill Tate was appointed to the Texas State School Safety Center’s Board of Directors in 2017.  Come hear what laws were passed this past legislative session, what the Texas School Safety Center is, and how Texas is on the forefront of school safety in the United States.  Even though you may not have a child in school, you probably have a grandchild, niece, or nephew in school.  School safety affects all of us and all of us have a role to fill to keep our kids safe.
